Some popular questions

1. Many people have kindly asked us where we are registered for gifts. The short and long answer is that we are currently registered at Crate & Barrel, and we have also registered at Macy's... For those of you who know that Kay has a penchant for nifty tools in the kitchen, there may be a third store involved if she can find someplace that has a good selection of useful cooking and baking materials.

Thank you for asking, and we will update the information as soon as we have it.

2. Others have asked about events before and after the wedding. For family and those of you who will be traveling from afar, we will be celebrating Mother's Day together on Sunday late morning, most likely in the community room of the condominium building where Kay currently lives (Belltown Court). It is completely optional, and we will post more information regarding this event in the near future.

3. I don't really know what else, but I felt funny having only two questions on the list. So we'll continue to fill up this list as we get closer to the wedding! Eleven weeks and counting!!

*new question!* :)

4. Questions about bringing kids:
We are actually expecting quite a few kids to be present at both the ceremony and the reception, and as such, we're doing our best to put some thought into making the day enjoyable for them and also for their hard-working moms and dads.

- Kids at the ceremony: The church where our ceremony will be held has a "cry room" with a full viewing window into the sanctuary. So for parents who are concerned about their little ones for during the ceremony, this would be a good option. The only caveat to this is that the room obviously has limited space, but by and large, I expect that it will be sufficient for those moments when a mom/dad needs a little privacy with a baby.
- Kids at the reception: Our hope is to have an area set up with coloring books and a DVD (or two) playing on a computer/small TV. We've also made a special request to our caterer to provide some kid-friendly snacks in this area. We still need to work out the details on this, but our hope is that the kiddies will have as much fun at the big party as their parents.
